Andy Cross (born 1979) received a BFA from Virginia Common Wealth University, in Richmond Va, and continued his studies at Hunter College, New York, graduating in 2005 with an MFA. He lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. A strong draftsman who works on a variety of painting surfaces, including pink styrofoam, he creates non-linear history paintings that critique modern politics by asking "What has changed?"
Andy Cross shows in New York, and his work has been included in various shows in other US cities. Outside of various private NY collections, two of his most ambitious paintings to-date are in the prominent Maramotti Collection in Italy.
